Free Write- 50 Shades of Grey

The movie 50 Shades of Grey is the first installment in the 50 Shades trilogy that follows the deepening relationship between entrepreneur Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele.  It is highly notable for its highly explicit, erotic, and sexual practices between them.  It features their sexual relationship that includes bondage/discipline and dominance/submission.  The desire for Christian dominates Anastasia every waking thought.  When he proposes a new arrangement, she can't do anything but resist.  They rekindle their sexual affair and Anastasia learns more about the past of her damaged Fifty Shades.
The book/movie continues with two other stories, Fifty Shades of Darker and Fifty Shades of Freed.  Fifty Shades of Grey has topped best-seller lists around the world, including the United Kingdom and the United States.
I personally had mixed feelings towards the movie.  The storyline I felt was very different and I feel people would have a love/hate relationship with it.  I liked it however the book was a little better to me.  Hopefully the next 2 movies will be good as well.

  1. Did you like the movie? Did you read the book? If you did both which one did you like better? A lot of people criticize the story because of the dominatrix involved. What are your thoughts on the entire store?

  2. So I didn't bother to watch the movie because it really didn't even interest me. I know theres a lot of controversy over the scenes of the movie or the book. I don't know if you read or saw it, but if you did, did you like it? And why? Would you recommend it? I still haven't found a reason to watch it but maybe someone might tell me it's worth watching and I can do so.

  3. I personally got to watch this movie as well. It seemed more awkward and revealing than what I thought it'd be. I haven't read the book, but I have a feeling there was too much hype for the movie. I ended up laughing and making fun of the movie instead of being into it. over all I agree with your opinions regarding the movie.

  4. Be careful with your "paraphrasing" - it's really close to the original. It might be better in a blog to just quote the information about the movie with a link to the source, and then spend more of your time writing your thoughts about the movie and the book. I'm with Brianda and Carlos and want to hear more of your opinion.

  5. I saw the movie with my best friend and I honestly expected more of a better story. I didn't read the books but I was slightly disappointed in the movie. It was very depressing, and the ending wasn't very good. I feel like people went to see the movie just because it was a big hype with the book. But I don't know what the book is like so maybe I should read the book. But the movie is ehh to me.
